Camp Otter Summer 2020 Policies and Procedures

Welcome Camp Otter families!

We are excited to welcome our families back to camp this summer. Per state regulations, we have implemented new policies and procedures to create a safe, healthy environment for our campers and staff. Please take a moment to watch our informational video and read the new policies and procedures below.

General Health Protocols

  1. Staff will wear cloth face coverings over their nose and mouth as much as possible when social distancing is not possible.
  2. Campers do not need to routinely wear a cloth face covering.
  3. Campers may need to wear cloth face coverings when in close proximity to other staff and children when social distancing is not possible (ie, bathrooms).
  4. Campers and staff are encouraged to wash hands often with soap and water. Hand sanitizer will be available in areas where soap and water are not readily available.
  5. If a camper has a fever please provide a doctor’s note to return to camp and must be fever free without medication for 24 hours.
  6. Please stay home if the camper has Covid-19 or displays any symptoms and contact camp asap.
  7. If a camper tests positive, we will need two negative tests and their symptoms to be resolved in at least three days before returning to camp.

Arrival & Departure

  1. No bus transportation will be provided.
  2. Car drop-off is anytime between 7:45-8:15am and pick-up is anytime between 4:45-5:00pm.
  3. For both drop-off and pick-up, please drive down Plaisted Circle and then take the first left through the side entrance of Camp Otter. Please be mindful of our neighbors and do not block driveways or the road.
  4. All adults are asked to remain in your car and wear a cloth face covering over their nose and mouth when interacting with staff.
  5. Campers will be screened daily upon arrival, including temperature checks and pre-screening questions.
  6. If you need to drop-off late or pick-up early, please call the Camp Otter office to notify us in advance at 603-893-4911. When arriving at camp, please stay in your car and call the same number to let us know you have arrived.
  7. We must limit non-essential visitors. If for some reason you need to go to the office, please wear a cloth face covering while at camp.
